About our school...
Drumbrae Primary School was officially opened on 24th March 1959. It is a non-denominational school and is situated on the west side of Edinburgh.
The school building faces south overlooking its own playing field. The school has a nursery and classes covering the stages P1-7.
The school is widely used by the community, with a vast number of after school clubs, interest groups and adult classes running during the day and at night.
The school has a fully functioning kitchen which provides meals for the children in addition to servicing other establishments.
The school has been awarded the Standard Life Education Award 'Fit for Life', a Motorola Enterprise in Education Award, the Road Safety Gold Award and Eco School Bronze Award. In December 2008 Drumbrae became the first primary school in Edinburgh to be awarded Health Promoting Schools stage 3.
