1 Oct 2009 - October News Letter
|
A very warm welcome back to everyone after the October break. The children are looking rested and very smart in their school uniforms. This is going to be a very difficult period for all of us with uncertainties over closure. We will continue to have high expectations for all our children and will continue to offer them excellent learning opportunities and experiences. All staff are totally dedicated to providing our pupils with a first class education.

Primary 1 Enrolment
P1 Enrolment will take place in school on Tuesday 17th November from 9:00 am – 11:00 am or from 1:15pm – 3:15 pm. If you have a child who is due to start school in August 2010, they must be enrolled on this date at their catchment school regardless of which school you wish them to attend. Please bring your child’s birth certificate, proof of residence and your Community Charge Book or letter.
Pantomime
As you will see from the above dates all the children will be attending the King’s Theatre in the coming weeks, but as we are still awaiting news of School Closures we thought it would be a boost for pupil and
staff morale if the costs of these trips were covered by the school.
Parent Consultations
Many thanks to all pupils/parent/carers who attended our Personal Learning Planning sessions. We trust you found these meetings informative. Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete our evaluation questionnaire. We are delighted with the overwhelming positive feedback. Almost all responses recognised the value of working in partnership. We genuinely appreciate your support in helping our children feel valued in their learning.
